Ye, im away to fort william for 2 weeks in july, instead of my usual weekend trips. You sticking with single crowns? or you thinking double crown for downhill?

Its just the kona bars, but they are risers, have a look at this pic (http://www.moredirt.co.uk/gallery_photo.php?id=39680)

Ye, 888's are really cheap now second hand, same with boxxers (older then 09). Bars are personal preference, ive tried flat bars and cant stand them

For the goose id say a set of double crown forks are needed first( 888, boxxer, 40), then a upgraded rear shock (DHX 3,4,5). They will make a huge diference for downhill, and plushness.

I tend to not buy top of the range bikes, always prefer to get a slightly cheaper bike, and do it up, in my opinion it makes a more personal bike. Plus the stabs are quite tall, and i like low small frames.
