I had thought about and looked at building a transition transAM, which I think has a steel frame, the cheapest build was gonna be £1300 and that was 25lbs. Then I seen the fsr xc for £1000+ at 28lbs, and since i'd always fancies a pitch (looks the same to me), my mind switched back to a full sus

I was slightly more inclined to go for the fsr xc, because i've already got a bike for rough stuff, and i'm needing a bike for a xc club, and the reviews i've seen and got from people on the fsr xc it seems to be what i'm after. One thing i'm confused on, is the pro above the expert spec wise?

Hi oodboo, AC refered me to yourself, For £1000 what is better, a 2009 spesh pitch pro (new) or a 2009 spesh fsr xc expert (new)?

Ha! Who'd have thought it could have such hidden benifits! Well, I've sourced the bearings and if I do it myself I'll need a few things like a tourque rench. The main thing is a type of bearing press which will press the bearings 2mm in to their housing. I can see the bearings can be pressed out with a home made tool but you really need a few bits and bobs to knock one up. I know a good guy so I'm gunna ask if he can help. There is a specialist equilink tool but no clear way to get hold of one. Not quickly. be a two week wait at the shop I should think and I'm not totally sure they know what they're doing anyway.

Hey boo, been dithering a bit about what to do. It's just a major creak at the moment.
