due to change of rules for 09 you will need full finger gloves and knee shin pads when riding esher shore, v annoying but not their problem (elf and spoil everyones lives brigade i belive)

yh they are definatly best, your knees always need protecting and your shins will get cut up sooner or later by your pedals

heya, i just saw your comments on a profile and a lid is a helmet, elbow pads arnt necesary but knee and shins are, a good pair is about £30 and i think you can get a good skater style helmet for about £30, best to start with the helmet

carrera xc velos 08 would be just fine for esher, you could do the blues on 80mm hartail if you wanted to!
