The allen key on the bottom of each leg is what holds the boots on the stanchions, DO NOT adjust these what so ever as you will only loosen the boots and they will fall apart.

i followed that article in respraying my bike.
make sure you put alot of layers of clear spray over the top of your job otherwise th paint will just chip
