Hanchurch Woods

The private estate of Hanchurch Woods near Stoke-on-Trent, has about 6 miles of mountain bike singletrack, with lots of other tracks which are worth exploring. Their are excellent sections, with plenty of long climbs and descents.

The ever-popular Midlands XC Series and recently the Midlands Champs are also held at Hanchurch Woods.

Directions

Head down the A500 toward J15 of the M6, turn left at the last roundabout before the junction. You will come to some lights, head straight over. Follow the road for about 1-2 miles, there will be a sign on the right to a picnic area, take that road and follow it all the way to the rangers cottage. The is a car park on the left. If you keep going you will find another parking area about another mile down the road. If you have sat nav, this post code will get you there ST4 8SN. Enjoy!
