Trail Description

Fforest Ganol (yes FForest is Welsh for Forest!) sits between Cwm Nofydd, Graig Goch and the Wennallt, north of Cardiff.

I happened to stumble upon this one so I'm afraid I dont know much about its history or who rides here. I can only describe it as moderately maintained trail with some bodged jumps and berms.

Most features have been added to existing pathways so lack flow suitable for fierce riding. The jumps (there is a gap jump, few kickers and a natural bowl) were fine to make on my hardtail with DJ forks but neglect makes me nervous rider here!

The trails I found continued to a more open XC style to the West which connected to Taffs Well and Castell Coch (Red Castle). I'll be exploring more soon but there's definitely plenty of trails I left to discover for another day around that area.
