Greenock Cut Mountain bike trail starts from the Cornalees visitor centre, and head north passing Loch Thom, after the uphill bit you'll reach an intersection where you can go straight ahead for the greenock cut trail or turn left (and do some more uphill) towards the mast for a good view of the Firth of Clyde, Argyll & Bute.
After you've enjoyed the view head back towards the intersection and turn left (i.e. head north towards Greenock. You'll pass a few reservoirs and once you reach the fence near the Overton Reservoir head west for the Greenock cut trail, you can't miss it. It's a very straight forward trail, no uphill or downhill bits from here on, very easy.
