Dumyat Trails -

Dumyat is a hill (418m) situated at the western extremity of the Ochil Hills in Scotland.

There are numerous routes up and down Dumyat of various difficulty suitable for mountain bikers.

I usually begin from the carpark at Blairlowgie Kirk and join on Sherriffmuir Rd. From there the singletrack to the summit can be accessed.

Once you reach the summit you turn round and head back the way you came. The trail is very rocky and technical and not suitable for beginners. Once they have finished, riders can easily link on to a host of trails in the woods at the rear of Stirling University.

Depending on what trail they take, riders can access the Bridge of Allan woods where there are dirt jumps, drops and freeride obstacles

From Stirling head North towards Bridge of Allan. Once in Bridge of Allan you'll find parking in the railway station car park. From the car park head under the road and turn to the right, from the main road cycle for about 100 yards up the road (away from the town). You will see sign for a primary school - this is the start.

Please note: Distance is calculated as air distance or "as the crow flies" the most direct route between two points, so the distance by road maybe slightly longer.
