Gidleigh Woods, near Chagford on the eastern upland edge of Dartmoor is a small, rocky woodland consisting mainly of short downhill trails through the woods, with plenty of room to find your own lines down.
There is space to park at either side of the woods, the trails are fairly short, but can still spend a decent about of time there. Generally a quiet area but watch out for the occasional walker!

From Chagford, head towards Kestor Rock or Frenchbeer, after a few miles, keep on the road towards Kestor, at the bottom of a steep hill, you will find space at the side of the road to park, and a small gate looking down into the woods, this is the start of the trail.
