Freeminer Trail - The Forest of Dean - South West

The Forest of Dean Cycling Association trail is graded RED on the CTC classification of cycle trails. Designed, built and maintained by the association members in partnership with the Forestry Commission, this challenging and varied singletrack can offer something to even the most demanding of riders, from tricky switchback climbs to rooty drops and hairpin bends. It is for experienced riders only and is suitable for off-road quality mountain bikes.

From the north go to Gloucester, follow the A48 to Cinderford, then take the B4226 to Coleford. Follow the signs right at the bottom of the hill and it's on your left. From the South, go to Chepstow and follow the A48. In Lydney turn left on the B4234 and follow this road for about 8 miles, the centre is on your left.
