If you are after a good day's riding then the 24km Ae line trail could be just the ticket. Along the trail you'll encounter lots of twisty singletrack mixed with fireroad links. There's some really fast jumps and huge berms to try out and you'll have to learn to dodge trees whilst keeping the power on the pedals.
There's also one short but crazy climb called Nil Desperandum which will have 99 per cent of riders out of the saddle. Save your energy for grand finale which is 'The Omega Man' – nearly three km of jumps which encourage lift off big style. Be careful of the drop-offs though – they may take you by surprise. Combining the Ae line with Mabie's Phoenix trail will make a great day out - go and try it!
