UK Skate Park - North West

UK Skate Park in Stockport is made up of 3 large Units which are interconnected, and welcome Rollerbladers, Skateboarders, BMXers and Scooter riders.

Room 1 contains mostly smaller equipment which is primarily but not exclusively aimed at beginners and skateboarders.

Ukskate have quite recently completely rebuilt this area. There are now street oriented sections with a 3 stair set and square rail, a Banked wall ride, and even a well waxed concrete ledge!

We have included a small rythym section with 2 humps and a spine. At the far end are a selection of various height quater pipes, which were deliberately made with a mellow transition and 3 heights to make it easier for beginners to learn to drop in.

There is also a small Mini ramp and a fairly large Flatbank too

Room 2 is the Street area. You will find larger ramps, a big flat bank rollin, Rails with a long drop ledge on both sides, a Big Quarter to Quarter wall ride Transfer, a Flat bank at the base of the wall ride, A large Spined Ramp and 2 more Quarter Pipes. On top of that a brand new up and down Long Ledge has just been added. Built and tested by Steve Swain, this 2 part ledge is just perfect either for full speed up and down tricks or for some disaster to technical tricks...

Room 3 (Downstairs) is the Transitions and "real street" area.

This houses an infamous Peanut shaped Skatebowl with a Round deep end and a round shallow end. There is a large 6ft Half pipe approx 6metres Wide which has a 2 ft sub box with coping along one side and a 1 ft square edged Sub box along the other side. There is a Flat bank transfer from the halp pipe to an unusual Dual Height Vert/Midi Ramp. This has an 11ft Vert on one side and an 8ft Midi on the other side, Great for those Huge airs ! There are transfer opportunities between the Vert/Midi and Halfpipe and from there in to the Bowl if you are feeling Brave ! There is a Jump Box which currently has a 7ft Quarter pipe at one end and a 12.5ft Vert Wall Ride Quarter at the other end. The "real Street" area has a Long, mellow Flat Bank with an adjustable height Rail (16 inches upto about 3.5ft high) 15ft long and a Ledge on both the left and right hand side of the Bank. The Floor in this area is a smooth concrete, whereas the rest of the park is all plywood flooring. We now have Two 30 ft long ledges along both sides of this area. One is made similar to Urbis ledge height and the other similar to Castlefield ledge height, in order to simulate use of the most popular street skating places in Manchester
