The Witches Trail in the Leanachan Forest is the world-class x-country course that was specially constructed for the 2003 World Cup. 2003 was the first year in which all three disciplines have been hosted at one event!!
The x-country tests the super fit of the World Cup circuit, a combination of fast flowing forest road together with technical single track climbs and descents will challenge the rider's skill and courage as well as their endurance. This is a x-country course not to be missed!!

North Face car park, Torlundy From Fort William on the A82, look for the North Face sign on entering Torlundy. Turn right off the A82 onto an unclassified road, follow this for 200 meters then cross over the bridge with traffic lights. After the bridge, turn right onto the forest road and follow the road to the car park. If coming from Spean Bridge, turn left off the A82 in Torlundy. Nevis Range Follow the A82 north from Torlundy for about 3km and then turn right where signposted. Follow this road for approximately 2km to reach the Nevis Range car park. If coming from Spean Bridge, turn left off the A82 as signposted. The distance from Spean Bridge to the Nevis Range junction is around 7km. Leanachan Crossroads car park Follow the A82 for about 1.5km to the south of Spean Bridge. At Aonachan (Unachan) junction, turn left under the railway bridge and follow the road for a further 2km to reach the Leanachan Crossroads car park. The Aonachan (Unachan) junction lies about 7.5km from Torlundy. If coming from Torlundy, turn right at the junction under the railway bridge. Spean Bridge car park From Spean Bridge, head south on the A82. Shortly after crossing the River Spean, take a left turn and follow the road to the car park. If coming from Torlundy, turn right off the A82 before you cross the River Spean. This access point is operated by Till Hill forestry.
