The Red Rock trails at Learnie have been developed by HiMBA in partnership with Forestry Commission Scotland: 16km of trails for all skill levels, combined with some of the best views from any mountain bike trails, anywhere!
There are green, blue, and black graded trails, with a red grade 'Fun Park' and an ungraded dirt jump area. Even our green grade singletrack is not 'billiard table' smooth - it gives a sufficient challenge for those wanting more than just forest road-type mountain biking.

If travelling from Inverness, take the A9 north until you reach the Tore roundabout. At the roundabout, follow the A832 towards Cromarty. The Red Rock car park lies just off the A832, roughly 3 miles past Rosemarkie village. Turn right off the A832 into the car park. If coming from the north, follow the A9 south to the Tore roundabout and then follow the A832 as outlined above. An alternative route from the north in Summer is via the Nigg Ferry and Cromarty. Follow the A832 out of Cromarty for approximately 4.5 miles. The Red Rock car park is on the left off the main road.

Please note: Distance is calculated as air distance or "as the crow flies" the most direct route between two points, so the distance by road maybe slightly longer.
