new forks different travel |
|
hi folks bit of advice please!
my bike came with rock shox tora coil forks with 100mm travel i am a big guy and they are no way stiff enough and i keep bottoming them out eventually gonna smash em ! i know they were neva gonna be any good long term !
right so have been looking to upgrade and been looking at rock shox reveations dual air they are 140mm travel would this effect my bike in anyway or will they be ok
my bike is an orange g3 hardtail 19" frame and i use it for xc and trail centre riding

there a little on the long side, any fork with adjustable pre load ie air spring should be able to be set up for your weight, you could still go down this route only go for the U turn ones so you could lock them down to 120mm as really thats as big as i would go, at 140mm your warranty will be void too at a guess

This would be a bad idea because it would void your warranty. To be sure call Orange or go to your local bike shop to see what they reccomend.
