rockshox recon silver, run out of bounce

Hi all
hoping someone can help me with some advise with my forks, i recently bought a second hand cannondale SL1 hardtail and the forks which are RockShox Recon silver TK solo Air 100mm have no bounce left in them they have collapsed all the way down so was hoping someone might no how to sort these out do you think they might just need new seals or something along those lines or would it be better to just replace the forks, any help/advise would be great, thanks

you said there air right..?
have you tried pumping them up
they may just need a service

had a similiar issue which was solved with a fork pump and some elbow grease lol

yes they are air, i was hoping they might just need pumping up or just new seals fingers crossed i won't have to replace the whole fork, i'm having them looked at on tuesday so hopefully it will be something simple, i'd have a go myself but i have no shock pump plus i know nothing about forks, cheers for advise

try putting some air in them, your local shop should only charge you a tiny amounnt or maybe nothing if you play your cards right, if that doesn't work it's probably some seals somewhere in the air cartridge, perhaps the o ring that sits at the top, or could be the top cap is loose!

will see what they say, i've had a few bikes over the years but not once have i ever had a fork problem guess i've been lucky, think it might be time to invest in a shock pump and maybe a bike mechanics course, cheers for help

to be honest i don't think mechanics courses are worth it, i taught myself and now work part time in my lbs and can do most things on a bike, the only thing i got taught there was wheel building and a few specialist things, youtube is the the way forward! some great tutorials out there

Turns out the the fork was knackered, but on the plus side cannondale are repairing/replacing it under warranty which is good so thanks everyone for the help/advise
