Work, work, work.... Its now the end of our winter season, the snow has been massive this year, the best in 50 years, and with this many slippy slidey days, we provide transport for transfers to and from the airport, around a 100 miles each way... Obviously no riding for us through the winter, skiing yes but the bikes are put away...We are now looking forward to the summer, 25 degrees with sunshine today, so was out on the XC this morning, and my new Mondraker Summum PT is waiting patiently for Wednesday when i head over to Sopot for the Shambhala UCI1, our first DH comp for the season, along with Dan Sheriden and Chris McGlinchey (Team Nukeproof UK) who i will be transporting from Sofia, and assisting with their stay here...
Will hopefully be putting together a report with pics and vid for Moredirt, so keep your eyes open for the event news and highlights
Have upgraded my fiances bike through the winter, looks like she will be getting some Howitzer cranks as well I have also built up two DH3's for hire, just to allow tasters for anyone visiting who may fancy a dabble at the DH. Personally i cannot wait to get out on the Mondraker, i got it at Christmas, and have been salivating over it all winter.... We also have our largest single group of riders coming over at the end of June, 15 lads (Outlaw riders) from Exmouth in Devon, all hardcore DH ers, who hopefully will rip the arse out of the trails here, though i think the Shambhala may be a leveller... All in all, looking like a good summer biking wise, and in that vein i will be about on the forum, now the skis have been put away till next winter....

I wasn't having a go at you ChriZtine if that is what you are incinuating, you are out on your bike and interested in riding more. The comment towards a 29er with 80mm of front travel regarding that it would be suitable for the type of riding you are doing at the moment is true, as is that it would also cope with little problem more aggressive XC trails and parks as your riding improves and your confidence grows.
With regards to your tongue in cheek comments about my riding, im to old now to really worry what people think, i do it because i love it... honestly i look at some 16 yr olds, and they can kick my ass down any track, nearly 30 years of riding with associated experiences cannot compete with the vigour of youth...
You go for it girl, get out there and enjoy it, its not about impressing others, its goes soooooo much deeper than that
