Adam Hauck can't stop winning: Best trick at the Red Bull Bike Night

Adam Hauck can't stop winning: Best trick at the Red Bull Bike Night

Date Published: 02/07/2008

One more big success for Adam Hauck. After his double win at the Teva Mountain Games in Vail (USA) last month, the US rider made his way abroad to compete at the Red Bull Bike Night in Trieste (Italy) on June 28th-29th.

He stoked spectators and judges showing a clean 720 on a very challenging park course. Adam didn't only win the Best Trick comp, but he also placed third together with his teammate BMX rider Mike Mein (UK) in the "combo move" discipline.

Riders from all over the world – like Germany, Poland, Argentina, USA, UK or Venezuela, to name only a few – made their way to Trieste. The Red Bull Bike Night features riders of two different bicycle types, BMX and mountain bikes, which are riding in one competition. Mountain bike riders and BMX riders are building two man teams and battling in mixed doubles during six minutes sessions to make their way into the next round. This discipline is called "combo move".

Adam Hauck (USA) and his teammate Mike Mein (UK) had a real good day showing not only sick trick combinations like TuckNoHander to NoFootCanCans, but also a lot of rotations. After Mike had shown a 720 on the spine with his BMX, Adam got some speed to attempt the same move on the big box with his mountain bike: A clean 720 on the first try with a lot of amplitude made the spectators yelling for minutes.

Adam pulled a perfect double rotation which secured his first place in this weekend's best trick competition. Getting third together with Mike in the “combo move” discipline topped off the weekend for the young American: "The whole concept of the contest is pretty fun. BMXers and mountain bikers are riding the same course and having fun together. Everybody gets along well. It’s just a bit too hot down here in Italy!"

The season is in full swing and Adam's calendar stuffed. The next competition up to come is the "Claymore Challenge", a slopestyle contest at the Highland Mountain Bike Park on July 25th-26th. Crankworx Colorado is imminent, too, so we can be anxious to see what’s up to come.

Adam Hauck signed with rasoulution’s Athlete Management Program in October 2006. Adam wants to thank his sponsors for the support: Black Market, Mavic, X-Fusion, Giro, Atomlab, Nike 6.0, E-13, Deity, SDG and Republik Apparel.
